iStorage 2 for FTP, WebDAV, Dropbox, MS Skydrive and Cloud App Reviews

Now its really a good app for me. FTP support. E-mail support. So many Good features.Now it didnt crash.

Maybe I read the description wrong, but when I connected thru FTP to my site and edited an html file, iStorage emptied the file after I saved the changes! Every time! The description says it edits text files, which is what html files are, and when I highlighted the files the option to Edit or Download showed up, so I figured I was ok. Not the case. The file was still on my server, but had 0kb of content. Good thing I worked on backup files. It did work with files with the txt extension, but few web files are labelled that way. If you are looking for an FTP client to help you maintain Web sites on the road, as I was, this isnt it.

Very usefull, ESP to put and edit MobileMe stuff on the device.

Can do a lot, but not at all user friendly. Dont even think about getting unless you have a good understanding of file transfer protocols. Poorly integrated into the iPhone. Doubt I will ever use, This is a definitely a case of something that should have a trial version.

Just another layer upon your existing file system

In its current incarnation, iStorage is far and away the best file manager app Ive used for the iPhone. It has everything I need: the ability to act as a client or server on a local network to transfer files to/from computers; access to FTP sites; and access to iDisk and other WebDAV storage sites. Why run two or three different apps for those functions when you can get them all in one? Earlier versions may have had stability problems, but Ive been using the current version to connect to a variety of FTP and WebDAV sites with no problems. The interface could use some minor tweaking but overall I found it intuitive and easy to use. Well worth the 6 bucks.

Used and worked for a while, but after 3.1.3 update my files did not show up anymore even thou they where in the iPhone root folder, I e-mailed support several times and no answer. End up going with Readdledocs and now I am back on track. Waste of money if you ask me.

I use iStorage to upload large photo files with FTP. Works great for that. I transfer files to the phone with another app on my laptop.

When I first got my iPhone I was shocked that the "Choose File" and "Upload" buttons in Safari are disabled when you use any common web form. It also turns out that every web browser in the App Store lacks this functionality too. Finally, iStorage solves this problem. The app helps you to get files into your phone from the web, an FTP server, an e-mail, or an iDisk and then turns around and allows you to upload them through a web browser, FTP, etc. So long as you have images or files sitting in your iStorage "Documents" folder, you can use iStorages web browser (Which looks and feels like Safari) to upload them. This a great news for bloggers who use WordPress or Movable Type and anyone else who needs to upload an image or Word doc via a web browser. The app could be improved when you want to copy an image from your iPhones existing photo album to the iStorage "Documents" folder. There is no "bulk copy" or "quick copy" function for individual images. Each image has to be copied manually out of the iPhone album and renamed. The app could benefit from allowing the user to upload directly from the iPhones photo album. Despite this annoyance, I still give the app 5 stars for being the only app to allow web browser uploads. As with any app, this one has evolved and improved with every version and I hope to see more functionality as the app matures.

Iphone 4 - file transfer works fine; however, once you open a file you cant get back to the file manager (close and restart software) and the majority of the time the program aborts when viewing. Finally, tech support has not responded to request for help or a refund. Be ware

Don waste your money on this POS.

Worked well enough till the update. Now copy/paste doesnt work. Resize still doesnt work. App is useless to me now. 

I cant figure out how to move around in the app. I go into a section and cant back to main screen w/o closing the app completely.

I read a lot of negative reviews but took them with a grain of salt since many were written in 2009. My goal was to upload photos and videos from iPhone to iDisk which was never accomplished satisfactorily. Selecting a photo for upload was requiring me to crop images then crashed the app. Attempting to select a video resulted in a long compression phase and then hard failure which required a full power down to recover. Ive used hundreds of apps and never been annoyed enough to write a bad review. It is the six bucks for this app that added enough insult to the injury for me to take the time complain.

Simply the best. I use it as a ftp client. A developer is working hard and bringing nice updates very often.

I love this app, especially after this latest update. My copy/paste issue was resolved, and the added support for dropbox is great, since I use that service as well. I still wish iStorage could view folders of images in a thumbnail view like the built-in Photos app, and it would be awsome if it could open music an video files, maybe even import/export between a remote disk and the internal library.

I use this app as an SFTP client for my NSA server and it works great! This app is so easy to use! Highly recommend!

Terrible. I was looking to connect to my win7 pc on 3g and i cant. So pissed.

Great app very useful and love it, the icon is sooo sick!

I just dont like it. The screen shoots contain iphone dirdctory. I thought i could reach my files and edit them. But actually this app did noyhing . I lost my money.
